| Our Story |
A few years ago I moved with my family to Würzburg the capital of Franconia, a wine-growing region in Germany located in the northwest of Bavaria.
It took me just about five minutes to fall in love with this wonderful city. The old bridge, Marienberg castle, and the wine... The wine that changed my whole idea about white wines.
In Würzburg there is a custom of wine drinking on the old bridge which overlooks upon the castle. People gather there the whole day through, all year long, to sip traditional Franconian wines from that region. Groups of friends, hikers, couples, and singles, what characterizes them all is the fact that they are holding a glass of wine, usually white wine.
We lived in Würzburg a little over two years. During this time I have learned a lot about the local wines, visited lots of wineries, beautiful wine cities, and met wonderful people. Currently I am back in Israel with my family, so I decided to bring a part of this wonderful region to Israel. After all, what could be better than sipping cold white wine in the Israeli hot weather?
FRANCONIA was established based on the love for wine, and the wish to introduce to the people in Israel great white wines that were not seen here before - at affordable prices to the average wine consumer.
I invite you to get a taste of our wines and fall in love.
